Join our family of professionals at Parkside Villa, a 178-bed skilled nursing facility that offers multiple specialty programs including orthopedics, infectious disease, pulmonology, cardiology, and IV therapy, and a ventilator management program featuring a rounding pulmonologist and respiratory therapists.

Summary

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing respiratory care to assigned residents at designated LHS facilities. The RRT will comply with all clinical guidelines in accordance with respiratory policies and protocol.

Respiratory Therapist Job Duties:
Meets patient’s goals and needs and provides quality care by determining respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and by prescription

Helps patient accomplish treatment plan and supports life by administering inhalants; operating mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators

Administers respiratory therapy treatments by performing bronchopulmonary drainage; assisting with breathing exercises; monitoring physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes

Evaluates effects of respiratory therapy treatment plan by observing, noting, and evaluating patient’s progress; recommending adjustments and modifications

Completes discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences

Education and Experience:
Graduate of a NBRC program

CRT or RRT, with valid Ohio license, Basic Life Support

At least one year of experience and long term care experience preferred

Ventilator experience a plus
