Resident Leasing Specialist

Our company is seeking a motivated and experienced Leasing Agent to join our team and oversee the leasing operations for our 400-unit apartment building. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for generating new leads, showing available units, and providing exceptional customer service to our tenants.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research on the local rental market and competition
  • Advertise available units through various channels, such as online listings, signage, and print/social media
  • Respond to inquiries and schedule appointments for potential tenants
  • Coordinate tenant leasing process in a professional and friendly manner through online communication, unit and amenity space tours, and follow up to close the sale
  • Screen potential tenants through background and credit checks, verification of income and employment
  • Coordinate and ensure smooth move-in, renewal, and move-out processes with tenants
  • Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and organized leasing records

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management or related business operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and leasing software programs
  • Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some college coursework or degree preferred
  • Sales experience is preferred
  • Candidate should be ambitious, able to work without supervision, and should work well with a team
  • Yardi experience is a plus
