Responsibilities
Conducts statistical studies in support of research proposals and protocols. Uses statistical programs in order to perform processes necessary to examine data sets. Maintains and develops research gathering, retrieval and reporting systems. Uses computer software to track and report progress. Gathers and analyzes research data; prepares and summarizes information and/or recommendations. Prepares documents for data applications and requests. Document novel data sets for future reference. Document and share code to ensure replicability. Attends and actively contributes to regular meetings with research team.

Required Qualifications
Working knowledge of research function. Experience with research design in an academic or employment setting. Working skills in statistical analysis, systems programming, database design and data security measures. Classes or equivalent work experience with upper division level econometrics/statistics and statistical programming. Work or academic experience examining, manipulating and reporting data. Working skills in analysis and consultation. Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing. Work or academic experience describing data and statistical findings. Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a desire to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to establish and maintain positive & professional working relationships with colleagues, students and team members. Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in a business, organization or public university setting.

Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Salary & Benefits

This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), contract appointment, eligible for full UC benefits with the possibility of extension. This is a non-exempt, hourly paid position.

It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $32.09.
