Job description
- Supporting the Production and Fulfillment Team by unpacking and organizing the materials that are used to build and fulfill orders, while maintaining a clean and safe workspace
- Assisting order processing by referencing packing slips to verify components, build and roll rugs, quality check components, and pack systems into their boxes
- Conduct cycle counts (counting a subset of inventory on-hand)
- Cycle counts raw material, packaging, finished goods, and non-conforming materials regularly.
- Ensure materials are in proper locations and conduct searches to locate missing materials.
- Helping to maintain a clean and safe work environment by ensuring that products and tools remain clean and in their designated areas.
- Manage manufacturing records, ensuring documents are complete and accurate.
- Generate certificates of conformance, compile and issue Quality Assurance Certification Packages in accordance with customer requirements.
- Scan and electronically file paper documents.
- Database maintenance and general bookkeeping
- Support Shipping Department during spikes in business
- All other duties as assigned by Shipping / Receiving Manager or as the business necessitates.
- High School Diploma or GED (equivalent experience may be considered in leu of)
- Prefer to have at least 2 years’ experience in a shipping / receiving environment
- Position requires good mathematical ability and the ability to understand material specifications.
- Position requires minor lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, and frequent standing
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Preferred candidate should have working knowledge of MS Office, ISO 9001 / AS9100 and lean manufacturing
- Flexibility to be able to cross train into various roles within the department and adjust to shifting priorities. Ready & willing to go the extra mile to meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude aimed to maintain a high customer satisfaction level (internal and external) and effectively communicate in both technical & user-friendly language at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with material certification packages a plus
The Receiving/Inspection Clerk is responsible for the timely receipts of all materials in coordination with purchase order and customer specification requirements. Candidate will be a liaison between Quality Control, Receiving and Purchasing.
