Job description
The Raw Material Coordinator reviews regulatory and supplier raw material documentation, maintains a database of these documents, prepares these raw materials for review by appropriate R&D personnel, and with the assistance of R&D, establishes specifications for raw materials.
The raw material coordinator interfaces with many departments within DuBois, often being a liaison between R&D Chemists, Regulatory, EHS, Quality, Integration, Procurement and other Supply Chain departments.
This scientist will also assist with development or coordinate to develop methods for testing and identification of specific chemicals, ions, or mixtures, as requested (based on skillset).
- As defined in our ISO quality procedures, function as the raw material coordinator.
- Setting up new raw material components in an orderly, efficient fashion in the DuBois nomenclature and format.
- Work with R&D and analytical groups to evaluate and approve new and alternate raw materials through Alchemy to ensure timely tracking of progress and recording and reporting of results. Additional communication and/or coordination of samples, testing and results with the DuBois R&D Chemists, QA/QC and Supply Chain Depts maybe required.
- Maintain Raw Material Specifications in Alchemy and supporting Vendor Documents.
- While reporting to the Senior Raw Material Coordinator, this function is expected to work closely with R&D, Regulatory, EHS, Quality, Integration, Procurement and other Supply Chain depts.
- Assist with the acquisition integration by reviewing portfolios and finding existing raw material matches, coordinating comparison evaluations and identifying materials new to DuBois.
- Working with the quality team to ensure accurate and appropriate RM specifications and contribute to improving the overall raw material approval process, including document management and control.
- Maintain R&D relationships with raw material vendors, keep current on their offerings, and liaison with R&D to bring forward new & alternative raw materials.
- Assist with (or coordinate to) develop methods for testing and identification of specific chemicals, ions, or mixtures, as requested. (skill based)
- May be asked to assist in analysis, including operating instrumentation. (Skill based)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
