The Project Manager will be the central point of contact for the customer and will coordinate the project plan with the cross-functional team. The role will manage the project completion within the determined scope, quality, time, and cost constraints. The Project Manager will promote customer satisfaction by ensuring project adheres to customer specifications and contract deliverables. This position is located in Allen Park, MI.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of a project, including the initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing phases over the program life cycle
  • Balancing project constraints completion (scope, quality, schedule, funding, budget, resources, risk) achieving high quality, and stakeholder and customer satisfaction.
  • Developing and overseeing project schedules, track, and update milestones.
  • Monitoring progress of projects through internal reviews, team meetings and assist where needed to quickly resolve impasses, and address and elevate internal project issues.
  • Managing overall project budget, tracking the financial status and invoice according to contract schedule of values or milestones.
  • Monitoring changes in project scope, review changes with customer, and ensure changes are in accordance with the contract requirements to capture additional costs or schedule changes.
  • Communicating project status in a consistent manner to team and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining day-to-day client interaction, set and manage client expectations, and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Working with department manager to identify risks in a timely manner, manage and develop mitigation or contingency plans with key stakeholders, and remove roadblocks and impediments to support team efforts

To be considered as a Project Manager, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in a program coordination or project management role
  • Experience developing and reporting program critical elements (open issues, project timing plans, budget variances, etc.) to management, internal, and customer teams
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational, problem solving, analytical, time management, and detail-oriented with high work standards
  • Ability to foster teamwork, cooperation, and relationship building
  • Ability to exhibit high levels of self-control, self-confidence, and flexibility
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

A successful candidate may also have:

  • Associate degree in Business or related field
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings, schematics, standards and specifications
  • Proficient in the use of PeopleSoft (Financials, HR, E-procurement)
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Good ability to interpret customer requests and deliverables
