POSITION SUMMARY
The PAS Scheduler is responsible for weekly service calls, scheduling, and coordination of patient care services. Responsibilities encompass carefully matching qualified available staff for each shift/visit as requested by customers. These services are performed in conjunction with the PAS Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Takes initial intake call and discusses PAS services with potential customers; sends appropriate forms as required.
- Schedule and coordinate all PAS customers’ services.
- Receives and processes intake data for PAS patients for accurate billing.
- Manage and track employee availability, schedule changes, and employee time off requests.
- Prepare and mail bi-weekly billing to all PAS patients/customers.
- Review PAS aging and collect past due balances as necessary.
- Receive, direct, and relay telephone calls and messages.
- Prepare PAS payroll files including interface with payroll system.
- Review PAS payroll for accuracy.
- Put together PAS admit packets.
- Confirm schedules weekly with patients and/or patients' family members and employees.
- Conduct weekly calls to all current patients and/or patient's family members.
- Send copies of schedules to employees, patients and/or patient's family members.
- Inform employees, patients and/or patient's family members of changes in schedules.
- Send satisfaction surveys to patients monthly and record results.
- Prints and send Long Term Care claims to insurance companies.
- Schedule caregivers to work weekend back-up on-call shifts as directed.
- Provide monthly schedule for on-call to Administrator and PAS Supervisor.
- Serve as back-up for Business Office Manager.
- Assures satisfaction of patient care by working closely with the PAS Supervisor and follows up on any service complaints.
- Maintain high visibility and availability via telephone and/or while in the office, projecting a concerned, professional attitude.
- Able to drive using own transportation as needed.

Educational Requirements and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- At least two years’ experience in medical office or home health agency preferred.
- Ability to effectively manage and supervise people, routine and complicated business files, accounts payable/receivable, personnel concerns/problems, and the computer systems.
- Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude, good people skills, and a professional appearance.
- Ability to resolve problems and set priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with ability to deal tactfully with clients and referral sources.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
