Wesleyan College seeks a Partnerships Manager to build relationships with community organizations, businesses, local hospitals and educational institutions to create meaningful pathways to Wesleyan’s graduate and online programs and help nursing students find meaningful placement during and after their education. The Partnerships Manager will also work closely with the recruitment teams to develop strategies to recruit students into the various graduate and online program while working with high school students to demonstrate the long-term benefits a career in nursing can achieve both personally and professionally.
Duties:
- Meet with and develop relationships with businesses, community organizations and educational partnership who share a commitment to Wesleyan’s mission and values to create educational pathways to Wesleyan’s online and graduate programming.
- Meet with and develop relationships with nursing, administrative and HR leads at area health care providers with the goal to creating placements for nursing students both during and after their studies.
- Working with Nursing Program Director and Nursing Success Coach, identify and assist students to matching with placements
- Working with the VP, Enrollment, Marketing and Communications, develop recruitment strategies to attract both high school students to the Wesleyan College nursing program.
- Working with the Director, Marketing & Strategic Communications, develop recruitment materials to brand and support online and graduate programming
- Give presentations to students on the benefits of a nursing career and attend graduate fairs to promote Wesleyan’s programming
- Provide guidance and assistance to prospective students on how to apply for grant scholarships and meet eligibility requirements by filling out a FAFSA.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
- Three years of experience working in community partnerships, recruitment or higher education.
- Experience leading, creating or hiring student internships
- Familiarity with federal Financial Aid guidelines
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, communication, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Knowledge of, and compassion for, college students’ varied learning support needs and potential hindrances to their academic success.
- Expertise with Learning Management Systems and Web conferencing software.
- Ability to meet deadlines by prioritizing and organizing work with minimal guidance.
- Ability to be flexible in responding to varying situations and work efficiently under pressure.
- Commitment to higher education success for all Wesleyan students.
- Willingness to seek out and collaborate with campus colleagues as needed to ensure students receive positive and consistent information and support.
- Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office Products, database entry/management, and social media networking tools. Experience using Dropout Detective or similar software is a plus.
