Job description
SUMMARY
Work closely with Materials team and Warehouse team to routinely audit and maintain storage rack location accuracy throughout the plant to include storage conditions, labeling and that parts identification is accurate. Contribute to orderly and safe dock and warehouse operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate closely with Materials team to pull parts and ‘KIT’ jobs in an organized fashion to suit operations assembly needs.
- Maintain accuracy of assembly ‘stock’ parts utilized (hardware, roller bearings, bearing caps, clamp nuts, helicoils, ID End Plates) etc. to trigger reorder as necessary to prevent stock outs.
- Ensure accuracy of kitted parts to include correct quantity, part numbers and routers to allow smooth assembly operations.
- Develop and control a ‘return’ process to make sure any parts returned from assembly as unused or unneeded are correctly stored, preserved and inventory transactions are correctly made.
- Perform other Materials / Operations liaison activity as directed.
- Perform cycle counts
- Load and unload Trucks as directed
- Select, pick, group, stage, package and label any shipping orders as needed or as materials are made available.
- Check condition of materials as received, verify quantity, condition and process paperwork as directed
- Route materials received to proper machine center, work cell, inspection area or storage location within the plant as per router or storage instruction.
- Perform other Dock / Warehouse / 5S duties as directed.
- Fill in for Dock and Material Handler positions when those individuals are out.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office
