PURPOSE OF JOB: Provide comprehensive healthcare services to adult gastroenterology patients in the hospital and outpatient settings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide patient care to GI patients in the in-patient and outpatient setting.

Responsible for providing primary care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating patients. Works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care.

Able to communicate effectively with providers, patients, nurses and other support staff verbally, in writing and/or via EMR.

Maintain accurate EMR records and documentation.

Provide support to the office clinical staff in regards to patient care and educational needs.
