Florida Psychiatric Group is a respected psychiatric practice in Gainesville, Florida with over 25 years’ experience. We are a private medical office with two psychiatrists. We are looking for a dedicated individual that will positively contribute to our office practices.

Receptionist Job Responsibilities:

· Warmly engages with patients in person and on the telephone, scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and maintaining records and accounts.

· Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying physician of patient’s arrival and reminding providers of service delays.

· Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.

· Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.

· Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.

· Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and verifying receipt of supplies

· Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.

· Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required Experience:

· High school diploma, college education is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

· Prior medical office experience preferred

· Professional and articulate communication skills

· Multi-tasking

· Time management

· Attention to detail

Organization

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
