Gwynedd Manufacturing, a growing defense contractor located in North Wales, PA, is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to producing quality products for the U.S. Department of Defense and various U.S. Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. The material handler is responsible for the replenishment of production materials, restocking of warehouse locations and support in other warehouse operations as necessary. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, has strong attention to detail and works well in a team setting. The Material Handler works closely with multiple internal teams.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures orderly distribution of products by transferring product from inspection to primary inventory location, delivering production materials and supplies where needed.
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
- Record keeping, data entry, stock management.
- Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items.
- Keeps inventory, loading areas, and inspection areas clean.
- Works closely with all internal teams when delivering product from the inspection area.
- Responsible for transacting all inventory transfers within the MRP system and ensuring the product has the proper router/job with the material.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position
- Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. counting scales, forklifts, pallet jacks)
- Strong communication skills
- Dexterity and attention to detail
- Microsoft office experience preferred
- Organizational skills
- License to operate forklifts
- High school diploma
