Available Shifts:
- Every Other Weekend, 7:00am - 7:00pm
- Every Other Weekend, 3:00 - 11:00pm
- Every Other Weekend, 7:00pm - 7:00am
- Every Other Weekend, 11:00pm - 7:00am
(Pay based on experience and shift)

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility
- Ensure the nursing service procedures manual is current and reflects the day-to-day nursing procedures performed in this facility
- Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift as required
- Complete and file required recordkeeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, transfer and/or discharge
- Chart nurses’ notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident as well as the resident’s response to the care
- Report new/changed diet orders. Forward information to the Dietary Department
- Verify the identity of the resident before administering the medication/treatment
- Review medication cards for completeness of information accuracy in the transcription of the physician’s order and adherence to stop order policies
- Review the resident’s chart for specific treatments, medication orders, diets etc. as necessary
- Make periodic checks to ensure that prescribed treatment is being properly administered by certified nursing assistant and to evaluate the resident’s physical and emotional status
Qualifications:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN or LPN/LVN in this state
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies personnel and the general public
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition
Education:
- Current NC license as LPN
- Experience in long-term care preferred, but not required
Physical Demands:
- The physical demands described here are to representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
- Utilizes proper lifting and body mechanics to prevent personal injury
