Job description
Responsible for overseeing the Reception, Reservation and Revenue Management Department. Assist with Housekeeping and Marketing departments. The attention to detail for all procedures in each area of this department is critical to the success of the Green Mountain Inn. Staff training is very important so that employees have the skills to do their job efficiently and accurately. The goal of increasing occupancy and retaining repeat customers is paramount to this position. Problem solving skills are necessary to improve efficiency and ongoing changes to procedures resulting in excellent customer service.
Duties include:
· Knowledge of the following job duties and procedures: Reception Desk, Reservations, Revenue Management, Night Audit, Property Services, Front Desk Supervisor, Housekeeping Manager duties, and Marketing.
· Provide coverage as needed for the above positions.
· Support staff with problem solving regarding reservation or guest issues.
· Communicate with housekeeping, food and beverage, property operations and massage managers on any operational issues.
· Strive to continue to increase occupancy through revenue management opportunities including OTA’s availability and promotions, GMI rates and packages, Internet Special, GMI newsletter offers and other opportunities that allow us to sell rooms within reason.
· Update procedure manuals.
· Complete knowledge of room and property inventory.
· Work place cleanliness and organization.
· Daily walk through of all Green Mountain Inn buildings and grounds identifying housekeeping and maintenance issues.
· Guest interaction to include developing relationships, problem solving, socializing at afternoon tea and weekly wine and cheese parties.
· Provide coverage at the Inn during absence of General Manager
· Oversee office supply inventory.
