We offer consistent, part-time hours, a set weekly schedule and fully paid training, immediately starting at $16-20 per hour - Great as an after school or second job to stay active! What will you be doing?
Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the success of swim lessons by:

• Making sure you and your team are set up for success at every lesson by preparing for each shift and reviewing your lesson themes
• Supervising lessons to ensure our Golden Safety Rules are being followed
• Taking action to keep swimmers safe in and around the water
• Maintaining your skills through ongoing training
  

You’ll be there to encourage new and returning swimmers and to support them as they progress from mini and junior swimmers to gliders and pros!

What will be expected of you?

• Availability for set groups of lessons (no half-shifts or mid-shifts available). Our instructors are scheduled based on set lesson times from:
  • 9:00-1:00 on Tuesday and Wednesday
  • 4:00-8:00 on Monday through Friday
  • 9:00-3:00 on Saturday
  • 9:00-4:00 on Sunday
  • Shift times 15 minutes before swim lessons begin. Employees must be able to arrive 15 minutes before swim lesson start to set up and participate in the pre-shift meeting.
• Ability to work the same scheduled days every week (Ex. Every Monday from 4:00-8:00)
• You have to be patient & genuine - every swimmer learns at their own pace, in their own way. Your willingness to help each student as an individual and your ability to bring your own personality to your job are key to the success of both you and our students.
• You must have communication skills to work not only with children, but with parents and team members as well
• The ability to do quality work and represent Goldfish Swim School’s mission to change lives and make a difference every day by going above and beyond with every detail, meeting and exceeding expectations to create a golden experience
• Doing the right things, making the right decisions and treating people with integrity, compassion and trust

The safety of our swimmers, parents and team members is of the utmost importance. Our pools are disinfected by a Nexgen chlorination system and additionally filtrated through a UV system to provide the safest swimming environment. Our state-of-the-art ventilation system allows fresh air to continuously circulate into our building, further minimizing the spread of any airborne virus. Industry experts note that indoor pools and pool operator are far superior at minimizing virus transmission than most indoor spaces.
