The Transdev Business Solutions Team is a diverse cross-functional team of IT and transit operational professionals. The team designs, develops, implements, supports, and optimizes the commercial and proprietary business technology solutions for Transdev operations. Focused on innovation and customer service we support the platforms and users that drive continued improvement in Transdev’s operations.
Reporting to the Director of Software Development this position plays a key role in developing and supporting Transdev’s proprietary software systems. This position will combine strong technical ability, with good communication, curiosity and coachability.

Overview of Position:

Reporting to the Director of Software Development this position plays a key role in developing and supporting Transdev’s proprietary software systems. This position will combine strong technical ability, with good communication, curiosity and coachability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, support and maintain .Net windows/web applications with VB.net, C#, ASP.net, JavaScript with MS SQL, ORACLE backend. Write clean, scalable code using .NET Core programming languages focusing on web vb.net/JavaScript development in Visual Studio. Develop technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture. Web mapping integration with Google Maps in Visual Studio via .NET 3.x+ and JavaScript/API.
Develop and implement web services in IIS (SOAP, REST).

- Willing to support critical duties - Support responsibilities that must continue to be performed during crisis situations and contingency operations.
Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct job experience
Experience:
- Successful track record of developing quality software using .Net Core 3.x+.
- Strong knowledge on MS SQL environment.
- Experience with Windows Server and OS Virtualization platforms.
- Knowledge on the fundamentals of Windows Active Directory, SSO concepts
- Minimum 3 years of current software development experience. Professional experience building Microsoft Windows platform web applications using VB.net, C#, ASP.net, Javascript.
- Web mapping integration with Google Maps via Javascript/API.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- MS Tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.).
- Team Foundation Server.
- Formats such as XML, JSON, etc.
- REST/SOAP.
- Solid grasp of Client/Server fundamentals and Browser/Server interaction and IIS.
- Creating .NET windows services under Visual Studio.
- MS SSRS/SSIS.
- Good knowledge of various Data Structures and Optimization techniques.
- Should have working experience with database engines like MS SQL Server 2012+, My SQL, Oracle.
- Create .NET web applications that utilize Google Maps for real-time information and/or historical analysis.
