GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

This position coordinates the activities, assignments, scheduling, and training of clients for the Certified Pharmacy Technician program and other industry-specific programs as needed at The Academy at Goodwill, licensed by the Arkansas State Board of Private and Career Education. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Responsible for the career and digital skills educational instruction of students enrolled in The Academy at Goodwill, including but not limited to persons with disabilities and other special needs, that desire an opportunity to attain skills useful and necessary to getting a job, building a career, and retaining long-term employment. Teach courses at a variety of times and locations, including evenings and weekends. Travel will be necessary 20-25% of the time. Group instruction will take place both virtually and in person. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time. 2. This position will instruct and train clients in a range of soft skills and career best practices, including but not limited to PharmaSeer, PharmaSeer Math, Medical Terminology, PersonAbility, Conflict Resolution, Customer Service, Decision-Making, Dependability, Ethics in the Workplace, Motivation, Organizational Skills, Self Advocacy, Social Interactions, Stress/Anger Management, Team Building, Time Management, and Self-Determination; Career Development, Career Advancement, Community Resources, Job Retention, and Professionalism. This duty is performed daily, about 50% of the time. 3. Maintain orderly and current client files that adhere to regulations required by the Arkansas State Board of Private and Career Education. Maintain accurate documentation of program operations and services including, but not limited to, documentation required for participant files, internal support systems, compliance, and electronic records. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time. 4. Assist the Operations Manager and Career Service Managers in developing classroom instruction, assessing skills attainment, and recommendations for placement of successful completers entering the workforce. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time. 5. Maintain and properly store/secure equipment, supplies, and tools associated with duties and transport equipment, supplies, and tools to assigned duties. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time. 6. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 2-3 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Arkansas Pharmacy Technician certification and 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the public, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS Ability to utilize common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature. REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Arkansas Driver's License

PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Arkansas Pharmacy Technician license. SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED Intermediate: Microsoft Office, Google Suite Basic: Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet INITIATIVE AND INGENUITY SUPERVISION RECEIVED Under general supervision where standard practice enables the employee to proceed alone on routine work, referring all questionable cases to the supervisor. PLANNING Considerable responsibility for general assignments in planning time, method, manner, and/or sequence of performance of own work, in addition, to the work operations of a group of employees, all performing the same type of work.

DECISION MAKING Performs work operations that permit frequent opportunities for decision-making of minor importance and frequent opportunities for decision-making of major importance; the latter of which would affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree. RESPONSIBILITY FOR FUNDS, PROPERTY, and EQUIPMENT Regularly responsible for property where carelessness or error would result in only minor damage or minor monetary loss. Almost continuous care and attention are required when handling this property to prevent loss. ACCURACY Probable errors would not likely be detected until they reached another department, office, or patron, and would then require considerable time and effort to correct the situation. Frequently, possibility of error that would affect the organization's prestige and relationship with the public to a limited extent, but where succeeding operations or supervision would normally preclude the possibility of a serious situation arising as a result of the error or decision.

Experience working with and teaching adult learners in a post-secondary environment
