Job Title: Housekeeping Room Attendant

Job Type: Full-time/Part Time/Seasonal

Job Description:

The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms and public areas are clean and tidy according to the standards set by Unicoi State Park and Lodge. The role includes cleaning guestrooms, lobbies, public restrooms, employee areas, and maintaining housekeeping equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Clean assigned guest rooms, which includes making beds, dusting, vacuuming and replenishing amenities

• Report any damages, maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during room cleaning to the supervisor

• Stock and maintain the Housekeeping storage area with clean linens, supplies, and amenities

• Ensure cleanliness of public areas, such as lobbies, restrooms, hallways, and employee areas

• Maintain the cleanliness of housekeeping equipment including vacuums, carts, and cleaning supplies

• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures and comply with all state, local and federal regulations.

• Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and supervisors

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping, janitorial or custodial work

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

• Polished, professional, and approachable demeanor with a strong work ethic

• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects that weigh up to 50 pounds

• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
