Job description
The Position
gRED Computational Sciences is seeking a highly talented, creative, and motivated computational scientist to participate in the development, application, and analysis of multimodal single cell and epigenetic technologies. The successful candidate has strong statistical and computational expertise and will work to evaluate and implement relevant analytical approaches and workflows to model biology including cell state transitions and regulatory networks, or relapse and resistance to therapy. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in Research departments including Cell and Tissue Genomics. Communication of results to a diverse audience of quantitative and experimental scientists will be critical. External publication of both scientific and methodological innovations strongly encouraged
Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D. in computational biology, statistics, biostatistics, computer sciences, or similar, with a strong publication record. Postdoctoral training is desirable.
Experience in statistics with the demonstrated ability to deploy novel methods to advance biomedical research.
Extensive experience in the use of a high-level programming language such as R or Python for statistics and computational biology. Experience with Bioconductor a plus.
Familiarity with UNIX and shared high-performance computing environments.
Experience analyzing assays and accompanying data formats used in molecular biology such as those for next-generation sequencing. Experience with single-cell epigenomic data is a plus.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $148,600 - $272,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
