Position: Full time TLP Advocate

Qualifications: The Full –time advocate must have a bachelor's degree with a major in criminal justice, psychology, social work or guidance and counseling.
Experience: Experience and knowledge of youth development, experience in counseling and case management and experience in a child caring agency is desired.
Job Duties:
Assist in the planning and development of the TLP in accordance with the Family Youth Services Bureau Transitional Living Legislation, Best-Practice Standards, and self assessment tool, the Ansell-Casey Transitional Living Assessment, Curriculum and guidebook and licensing standards.
Provide individual assessment to youth entering Wings using the Ansell-Casey tool.
Conduct skills groups and work with youth individually to enhance their independent living skills.
  • Provide individual counseling and case management to residents in the home.
Provide family counseling to resident's family whenever indicated.
Provide aftercare counseling and case management to residents who have left the home upon request and indication that such services are needed.
Develop treatment plans, quarterly assessments and complete documentation on all Wings residents.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining policies and procedures governing Wings.
  • Assisting in the implementation of the TLP including coordination with community agencies and resources
  • Participate in public relations activities, outreach, training and community collaboration meetings.
Assisting in the oversight of the maintenance of the facility, purchasing necessary items and assuring conformance with all physical plant and health requirements
  • Is available on call consultation of individual cases with regard to counseling and case management.
  • Assure for the compliance of all licensing laws, regulations, and requests and assists in the care and maintenance of the facility observing all health, fire, safety and emergency procedures.
Provide best practice standards in all aspects of the program and serves as a role model to staff.
  • Participate in Team and Individual Supervision, Case Staffing/Consultation and Staff Meetings as scheduled.
  • Ensure the continual health, safety and protection of all TLP participants Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Hours: To be determined and negotiated based the needs of the program. The advocate will share on call responsibilities with The Program Manager of Wings.

Pay to be discussed based on experience.
