Starting pay rate for this role is $40.80

The Facilities Maintenance Technician shall be responsible for non-power block facilities maintenance duties to include non-power block electrical, HVAC, plumbing and general facility maintenance. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for general exterior maintenance, mowing and site snow removal.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma
• Pass pre-employment testing
• Ability to work different shifts
• Ability to receive unescorted Nuclear access

And one of the following:

• Enrolled in a program to attain an Associates degree in a technical field

OR

• Two years minimum related mechanical or electrical military experience

OR

• Two years minimum of mechanical or electrical industrial maintenance experience

Preferred:

• Experience reading blueprints.
• Previous HVAC experience with EPA license
• Previous licensed plumber experience
• Associates degree in a technical field

OR

Two years minimum journeyman experience as pipefitter, boilermaker, millwright or electrician

OR

Two years minimum of equivalent journeyperson Pipefitter, Boilermaker, Millwright or Electrician experience in industrial employment

For entry into Promotional Series A (Electrical Maintenance) or B (Mechanical Maintenance) the following requirements must be met. Facilities Maintenance is not considered industrial maintenance experience, equivalent to the journeyperson Pipefitter, Boilermaker, Millwright or Electrician experience in the qualifications and therefore these requirements will not be met through experience in Facilities Maintenance.

• Associates degree in a technical field

OR

• Two years minimum related Mechanical military experience

OR

• Two years minimum experience as a journeyperson Electrician, Pipefitter, Boilermaker or Millwright

OR

• Two years minimum of equivalent journeyperson Electrician, Pipefitter, Boilermaker or Millwright experience in industrial employment
