Perform a variety of entry-level estimating duties associated with the development of detailed construction estimates through quantity take-offs and interaction with subcontractors and suppliers.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and/or fax machines.

Responsibilities:

  • Quantity/Cost Take-Offs
  • Distribution of bid documents
  • Understands the project/program and its requirements
  • Obtains and reviews proposals and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
  • Builds relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, architects, etc.)

Requirements:

  • BS/BA in engineering, construction science, architecture, or relevant discipline strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3-5 years of estimating experience
  • Familiarity with construction materials, means, and methods
  • Strong math and technology ability with an analytical mindset
  • Proficient in relevant software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
  • Thoroughness and reliability
  • Excellent organizational skills
