The primary responsibility of this job is to prevent/predict maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant equipment. This includes knowledge and skills to maintain equipment reliability of various pumps, compression (screw, centrifugal, and reciprocating packages), and associated plant equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Identifies the standards related to installations in hazardous areas.

2. Recognizes all safety precautions to be taken while using measuring and testing devices.

3. Outlines alignment, lubricant, and mechanical principles.

4. Demonstrates a general awareness of the safe way to utilize hand and power tools, how to use the correct tools for the job and how to dispose of damaged or faulty hand or power tools in accordance with approved procedures.

5. Creates and operationalizes plans to rig and lift a load in a safe manner, utilize correct procedures and methods and recognize and protect personnel from hazards.

6. Understands general principles and theory of mechanical equipment used in the oil and gas industry

7. Checks for own understanding of others communication (e.g. repeat, paraphrase, or ask questions).

8. Uses systems to organize and keep track of information relevant to job duties and communicates status as requested

9. Seeks assistance in determining priorities when appropriate.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 0-4 years oilfield experience, with a preferred background in reciprocating compressor Maintenance or pump maintenance

Skills and Competencies

1. Must have valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record

2. Working knowledge of CO2 operations preferred

3. Knowledge of Maximo or similar program to track equipment inventory, repairs, and costs

4. Strong personal commitment to a clean and safe work place

5. Team player, self-starter, committed to excellence

6. Willingness to travel and/or commute to multiple job sites
