Are you a licensed insurance producer located in the state of Florida seeking an exciting new opportunity? If so, we’d like to speak with you! Savoy Associates is looking for a dedicated and experienced Account Executive to join its rapidly growing team.
As an Account Executive, you will drive new business revenue by recruiting new brokers and new business revenue from existing brokers. You will promote and distribute Savoy products and services to the brokerage community. You will be expected to develop carrier relationships for business growth and act as a partner with the carriers to find mutually beneficial business opportunities.
The Account Executive will be proficient in all aspects of group health, by carrier, by market size, including alternative lines of coverage that Savoy may promote at any given time. Success in hitting revenue targets comes from a combination of this knowledge but moreover by an intense drive and ability to influence a broker to partner with Savoy based on our reputation and promise to deliver. For this reason, the AE will collaborate with internal departments and business development teams to effectively service these brokers.
Responsibilities
- Strategize with Sales Leadership in promoting Savoy and recruiting new broker partners.
- Identify target markets for new broker promotion efforts, new product offerings, etc.
- Become familiar with broker preferences and sustain exceptional partner and carrier relationships.
- Manage onboarding and appointment process for new brokers with our licensing department.
- Provide new broker data to Sales Operations Manager for assignment and team introduction.
- Train brokers and staff to help grow business, including but not limited to underwriting requirements, quoting tools, carrier website resources.
- Promote value-add services to prospects via regularly scheduled touches.
- Maintain steady involvement with industry associations/organizations, latest industry news, product knowledge and other pertinent updates for business development purposes.
- Handle LG new business RFP process and act as lead for new business prospects and carrier changes.
- Proactively initiate cross sell opportunities and work closely with specialty personnel to hit goals.
- Assist sales team and broker partners with large group renewal negotiations when necessary.
- Ensure proposal management and broker dashboards are frequently updated with proper data.
- Coordinate applicable info to support areas in order to maintain accurate records, including new business paperwork and commission split information.
- Communicate internally any changes of carrier commission schedules (Finance & Marketing).
- Recognize brokers who may be at risk and bring attention to management.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
Annual Business Planning:
- Assist in the development of annual business plan to act as a road map for meeting and exceeding targeted objectives.
- Prepare annual planning document which should include acknowledgement of previous goals and results and a dashboard of the key action steps that must be continually reviewed, refined, and reprioritized as necessary.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years group benefits experience in FL market preferred
- FL Health & Life License Required
- The candidate must be strategic, well organized, and demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills.
