The role you’ll contribute:

The Director of Strategic Program Management supports the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) with management system processes and special projects across the strategy and institute/divisional service line teams. The Strategy teams include physician relations, business development, and strategic planning. The Institutes/Divisional Service Lines are made up of - Cardiovascular, Cancer, Neuroscience, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Wound Care, Ambulance and Digestive Health..

The Director of Strategic Program Management also supports the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the West Florida Division with the following:

  • Assists in the completion of projects, presentations, event planning and research for new or emerging initiatives under the leadership of the CEO. Includes partnering on the developing of proposals that will meet the CEO’s expectations and standards.
  • Assists in the development of agendas and coordination of logistics for meetings as well as organizing and distributing minutes and ensuring appropriate follow-up. Includes the maintenance of document storage and access related to appropriate use.
  • Develop communication strategies for major initiatives and serve as a conduit of information and communication from the office of the Chief Executive Officer as applicable, to senior leaders, departments and external stakeholders, in conjunction with the Corporate Communications team, to the organization at-large.

Management System: The Director of Strategic Program Management provides leadership for facilitation of strategic plan development, elements of strategic plan implementation and deployment of projects; operations and senior management communication across the regions; and serves as chief aide in detailed execution. Collaborates with the Institute/Divisional Service Line dyad leaders and senior leadership on the integration of organizational performance excellence principles. Prepares materials and presentations for the Chief Strategy Officer to further the advancement of the organization to key stakeholders. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Special Projects: The Director of Strategic Program Management investigates, researches, reports and provides guidance on market strategies, deals and transaction and service line management strategies to inform and enhance cross functional initiatives. Leads process improvement and project management activities to ensure strategies align with and are optimized for current and future growth projections. Consistently communicates and reports project status to leadership team with detailed and accurate information. Identifies strategic issues, recommends organizational changes, and collaborates with other leaders to implement necessary changes. Serves as a liaison between executives and business partners and assists in the ranking and escalation of critical needs/issues.

Scope of Responsibility:

  • Supports development of strategic plans to support the Institute/Divisional Service Lines dyad leaders and the senior leadership team.
  • Facilitates strategic plan development, implementation, and deployment of projects for the West Florida Division.

Operating & Capital Budget/Financial Responsibility:

  • Supports the CSO in completion of critical projects including budgets, talent reviews, presentations to the governance boards, and AdventHealth Corporate assignments.

Strategic Planning Responsibility:

  • Responsible for identifying, researching, analyzing, reporting and providing solutions for short-term and long-term service line management strategies.

Performance Improvement Responsibility:

  • Works with multiple operational areas/teams as a performance improvement/excellence advisor as well as drives specific initiatives across the organization as needed.

Staffing/Labor/Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Responsible for program leadership on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), working closely with the Executive Sponsors and project teams of WFD strategic initiatives, the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and operational leaders in the West Florida Division.

Qualifications


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed
:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, communication or related field of study
  • Two (2) years of experience in a health care setting
  • Two (2) years of leadership or project management experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field of study
  • Experience in performance management
  • Experience in leading organizational change
  • Certification in a relevant performance improvement, project management or change management methodology (i.e. Lean, PMI, Prosci, etc.)
