The Director of Planning Operations and Analysis is responsible for creating Planning Processes, Data Analytics and Inventory Pricing and Liquidation strategies.
This role requires cross-functional interaction with Merchandise Planning, Merchandising, Brand, Finance, and Marketing teams. The Director of Planning Operations and Analysis should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, process development experience, strong written & verbal communication skills and leadership. They are well organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform a variety of tasks under pressure. The ability to analyze large amounts of data in a short period of time and provide course adjusting direction to cross-functional teams is key.
Job Duties
- Leads all product-based analysis and weekly reporting. Creates recommendations based on results.
- Elevate existing reporting and process and develop new to improve effectiveness. Build comprehensive, yet easy to understand, Exec dashboards
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting.
- Sponsors and oversees process improvement and technology enablement initiatives within assigned functions
- Utilizes knowledge of the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Builds tools and processes to reveal insights and drive proactive management of inventory.
- Identifies and manages inventory risk and develops contingency plans to mitigate inventory disruptions.
- Manages Oversupplied inventory with Profit maximized
- Develops Pricing and Promotional strategies that support forecasting demand, developing merchandising plans, and driving financial performance and inventory results
- Develops and fosters a cohesive team environment with all cross-functional partners.
- Operates effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear.

Qualifications
- High level of skill in utilizing data to make informed recommendations.
- Experience managing and developing a high preforming team.
- History of excellence in creating and maintaining Planning processes.
- Familiarity with creating, optimizing, and planning to set price point structures.
- Ability to think critically and logically in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortability with fluctuation between collaborative and independent work.
- High level of proficiency with the entire Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
- History of challenging the status quo and offer new ideas to drive sales and maximize profit.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Elite level of attention to detail.
- Adept at simplifying complex analysis for ease of understanding/presentation.
- Ability to handle complexities and develop solutions.
- A natural at building relationships and trust.
- Previous working experience with Qlik Sense, Qlik View, or Tableau. (a plus)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Statistics, Finance or equivalent field and a minimum of 8+ years of experience in the field, with 2+ years of experience leading teams.
