Job description
Our company is currently looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Truck Mechanic to maintain the reliability and safety of our trucks and trailers so that we can continue to provide excellent service to our customers. Technician candidates must have a minimum requirement of 6 years experience in troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining air brake systems, transmissions, differentials, engines, suspensions, hydraulic systems and electrical systems specific to class 8 trucks and trailers. Prefer experience in troubleshooting and repair of mixer hydraulic, electrical and air systems specific to McNeilus mixer bodies but not required.

Diesel Mechanic responsibilities Perform minor and major repairs on heavy duty trucks and trailers, as well as, concrete/ cement mixer trucks
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on concrete/cement mixer trucks, heavy duty trucks and trailers, including inspections
- Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
- Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
- Must have own tools (specialty tools provided by company)

Diesel Mechanic skills 6+ years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic Must possess a valid driver license (valid CDL license an asset)

- ASE Diesel Certification an asset
- Hydraulic experience an advantage but not required
