Job description

The second largest oil company in the United States is seeking to add a Drafter/Designer to their team in Baytown, TX. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of CAD drafting experience in midstream facilities or refineries, I&E experience, and experience with CAD 2D & 3D drawings.

The Designer Drafter will be working hand in hand with two Sr. Designers on both Mechanical and I&E drawings. The Sr. Designers will mentor this individual with aspirations of being a Sr. Designer. This person will be 80% in the office environment updating existing drawings or creating new drawings (P&ID's, PSD's, electrical one-lines, thought plans, etc.). They will be spending 20% of their time doing field walk-downs of as-built drawings and updating those drawings to represent what is truly in the field. This person may be generating isometric drawings as well. Due to their being a backlog of work, this person will be taking drawings and linking the updates.

This position is a 12-month, long-term contract, offers a hybrid schedule, and is paying between $25-30/hour based on previous experience and qualifications.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of CAD drafting experience in Midstream facilities OR refineries
• I&E or Mechanical background
• Understanding of CAD 2D & 3D (able to read P&ID's, PSD's, electrical one-lines, thought plans)
• Microsoft Office suite experience
• Great communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
