LLE Group, a mid-size privately held Corporation located in Woodbridge, VA, is seeking a Controller to add to its Accounting Team. The Accounting team is responsible for a full range of accounting/finance functions to include Accounts payable, house payroll, financial statement generation, analysis/ad hoc reporting, audits from multiple agencies, yearly financial audit, and tax preparations. The Controller will be accountable for managing and controlling the overall internal risk and delivering information to various stakeholders that is accurate, timely, relevant, and transparent. Taking direction from the CFO, the position will play a leading role in building and executing the overall financial strategy while supporting the financial information needs of the company’s department managers and business unit leadership. This position recommends and aligns financial policies and procedures with company objectives, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for all accounting, cash management, accounting information systems, and internal controls of the organization. The position oversees payroll, accounts payable, revenue/cash desk, coordination with external auditors, tax filings, financial reporting, and partnership accounting.

- Responsible for all accounting and financial reporting matters of the Company and its partners
- Leads and develops an accounting staff of 8
- Formulates and enforces cash management, and other financial accounting policies, such as, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and expense capitalization to ensure sound internal controls, compliance and documentation
- Oversee the external auditors and audit process, which includes relationship management, ensuring audit schedules are prepared and reviewed on a timely basis and completion of the annual audit in a timely fashion
- Lead corporate wide accounting systems oversight and implementation, workflow definition and manage on-going development and maintenance efforts of internal business unit software systems for Company financial and accounting functions
- Oversees activities of cash management, general accounting, disbursement (accounts payable/payroll), accounts receivable, and tax administration.
- Oversees the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including cash, accounts receivables, deferred revenue, loans, accrued liabilities, etc.
- Keep abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effective implementation and compliance
- Work collaboratively with members of the company’s management team
- Acts as liaison with the owner’s partners and oversees the reconciliation of due to/due from balance sheet accounts
Qualifications:
- Accounting Degree
- CPA preferred
- At least 5 to 7 years of progressive Accounting Management Experience
- Experience with automated Accounting systems, Great Plains preferred
