POSITION TITLE: Cafe Associate

REPORTS TO: Cafe Manager

Job Type: Part-time and Full-time

Job Summary

Come join the fun at Midway Cafe! We're currently looking for new team members to work 3-4 days a week. Must be available one weekend day, and available from 6am-3pm (shifts will vary within this time frame).

In this role you will make and serve coffee drinks and smoothies, in addition to prepping and running food out to customers, and working at the cash register.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events.
• Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
• Prepares quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Oversees general operation of the barista station. This includes proficiency with all opening and closing tasks.
• Ensures all drinks and food items going out to customers meet our high standards.
• Accurately runs a cash register and balances all daily deposits and banks.
• Provides a cheerful, helpful attitude for great customer service.
• Assists in restocking dining area with silverware, glassware, utensils, and condiments; restocks inventory.
• Assists in removing dirty dishes and cleaning customer tables between seatings.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

Background and Experience

• Barista and/or restaurant experience preferred.
• Customer service experience required.
• Must live locally in the Upper Keys

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
