What you will be doing:

The Sonographer provides quality care to patients undergoing Ultrasound procedures. Demonstrates full knowledge of Ultrasound procedures and equipment.

• Facilitate the patient experience by greeting patients, explaining pre- and post-procedure instructions, and verifying patient's identity. Utilize AIDET Principles in all patient and provider encounters.
• Perform ultrasound exams using proper protocols and positioning techniques, transporting patients safely, verifying accuracy of orders and documenting patient information.
• Document the patient's exam through data entry, report retrieval, scanning and recording the exam details in the electronic medical record system.
• Conduct environmental and safety procedures including cleaning and sterilizing the exam room and equipment. Evaluate and maintain supply levels and practice safe patient maneuvers.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge and licensure through educational workshops, professional publications and societies.
  

Our ideal candidate has:

• Education: Associate degree or Graduate of Radiology, Imaging or related educational program in Ultrasound Technology or Sonography.
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years' experience ultrasound technologist
• Licensure/Certification: Board Certified in Breast Ultrasound Technology or Sonography; member in good standing with RDMS.
• Knowledge/Skills: Consistently model AIDET principles, service excellence and service recovery. Consistently demonstrate commitment to safe practices while abiding by all OSHA and HIPAA guidelines. Basic computer skills including Email and ability to comprehend and utilize Electronic Medical Record System and PACS Systems. Use of Ultrasound equipment, disinfection unit and general office equipment.
