Position Summary:
Optimum is seeking an experienced full-charge bookkeeper that will manage our daily financial operations.
Candidates need to be highly organized, extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, able to handle a fast-paced environment, as well as have a demonstrated ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities in support of the team.Candidate must be proficient in QuickBooks. Candidates must be proficient in general ledger maintenance and be able to handle QuickBooks from original entries through trial balance.
Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are also important qualifications for this position. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
Proficiency in Quickbooks is a must
This is a full-time, in person position

Salary Range - $65,000 -$70,000

Responsibilities:
Requirements and Qualifications:
Responsibilities would include accounts receivable and overseeing accounts payable. Duties of the position are as follows;
- Balancing and maintaining accurate ledgers
- Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management and accountant
- Track bank account balances; develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Reconciliation of Bank Statements
- Payroll
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook)
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of projects
- Able to work independently
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks, working under pressure
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills, great team player
The ideal candidate should have at least three years’ experience in accounting or a related field; have knowledge of accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of
Quickbooks and generally accepted accounting principles inclusive of data entry, record keeping and computer operation.
