ISAT Total Support /Tomarco is a leading provider of seismic engineering consulting services and the related products and hardware used for nonstructural seismic bracing and the support of Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping systems. Our focus is geared toward building utility systems within the commercial and industrial construction markets. Our primary focus includes but is not limited to, HVAC, mechanical, piping, distributed electrical systems, plumbing, process piping & fire protection contractors.

Headquartered in Southern California, ISAT also has offices in Northern California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Georgia, North Carolina, Chicago, Atlanta, New Zealand, New York, Texas, and Puerto Rico. Additional expansion is expected.

ISAT has an excellent opportunity for a BIM Modeler/Detailer. ISAT's Modeler/Detailer is tasked with representing ISAT as a consultant and material supplier for the MEP design/build team for large-scale construction projects. ISAT provides cost-effective engineering designs for the seismic bracing and support of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing utilities.

PURPOSE/SUMMARY:

Total Support employment structure. The objective is to develop a general knowledge of all ISAT components and technologies, the seismic design and submittal process, and VDC Service Group Deliverables.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Pertinent sections of the IBC, UFC, and CBC building codes.
• Standard construction means and methods.
• ISAT Hardware and Engineered Solutions.
• Software Platforms related to the VDC Service Group:
• Revit
• AutoCAD
• Bluebeam
• Navisworks Manage
• BIM360
• BIMTrack
• Proprietary ISAT/CEAS Revit Content and Software
• Understand and comply with VDC Service Group time entry and productivity reporting standards within
• NEXUS.
• Review tasks created by VDC Delivery Manager (VDC-DM) and communicate needs for additional
• information/scope clarification.
• Learn to populate, coordinate, and export all ISAT and CEAS-related content in a BIM model.
• Understand and create 2D and 3D deliverables consistent with VDC Service Group Standards. This
• includes, but is not limited to, Custom Engineering Details, Seismic Bracing, Vertical Supports, Point
• Loads and Geolocation Point Management.
• Confirm that the submitted work complies with VDC Service Group quality control standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience with increasing responsibility for project components related to BIM. Knowledge of BIM tools and applications relating to cost, scheduling, estimating, design and coordination. Familiar with LEAN and LEED construction techniques. Proven written and verbal communication abilities. Demonstrated ability to present technical material. Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. Should specifically be proficient with BIM computer applications such as Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Point Layout, Trimble, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and BIMTrack.
