A BIM Coordinator in the BIM Technology Group at Vanderweil works with a team of Revit experts to support the work of our Engineering teams. The work is fast paced and rewarding as you get to contribute to and support many project efforts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• BIM Standards: Overall and trade specific. Assist Senior BIM Coordinator and BIM Manager to develop detailed company standards and trade specific standards.

• Assist BIM Manager to coordinate and meet with trade specific Revit Power User Groups to maintain standards/families/training/best use methods.
• Assist with in-house Webinars/How to videos/updating BIM SharePoint site.

• Clash detections: The primary tool will be BIM360 Model Coordination, if not available, then Navisworks will be used; Coordinate with PM/Team for weekly/bi-weekly meetings.
• Will support Sr. BIM Coordinator)with: Model maintenance, BIM360 model/file maintenance, clash detections, support Revit users troubleshooting, PDF uploads, etc.).
• Will support Sr. BIM Coordinator with in-house Revit Dynamo Scripts/PyRevit/Add-ins implementations.
• Work closely with internal and client project teams to coordinate BIM Execution plans on multiple projects
• Develop and implement BIM execution plans

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years BIM experience preferred
• Experience with using BIM 360 (Autodesk Construction Cloud) and support software, such as RF Tools and Dynamo

• Advanced understanding of MEP design process in Revit
• Advanced in Navisworks Manage: including Clash detections and generate conform models.
• Detailed knowledge of Revit MEP concepts including Families, Smart Schedules, Shared Parameters
• Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Strong understanding of the concept of coordination and clash detection using Navisworks
• Experienced using BIM360 Cloud Collaboration platform
• Dynamo experience is a plus
• COBie experience is a plus
