DCL Logistics is a third-party logistics company (3PL) that offers state of the art ecommerce and retail fulfillment services in the United States with facilities in California, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. Our rapidly growing 3PL seeks a Billing Analyst located at our Ontario, CA facility.

The Billing Analyst manages financial and logistics analysis. The position will be specialized in specific financial responsibilities that require strong analytic ability. Other responsibilities will include a range of administrative activities.

This position reports directly to the Transportation Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform customer profitability analysis monthly/quarterly/annually
• Gather data to publish various logistics metrics including on-time shipping
• Support freight requirements of current and prospective customers by providing analysis of logistics pricing and margin analysis
• Monitor and report on freight profitability
• Analyze and implement new freight service offerings
• Perform competitive research including price analysis
• Develop and implement invoicing processes to ensure compliance of contract pricing
• Streamline invoicing processes to improve timeliness and accuracy of invoicing
• Communicate effectively across all business units including operations, IT, and sales
• Process freight invoicing in accordance with contract terms and conditions
• Handle detailed invoice questions and inquiries from customers both internal and external
• Review and log inaccurate billing and credits with carriers. Ensure receipt of true overbills and credits due
• Provide information and assistance in the preparation of month end financial invoicing analysis and comments.
• Prepare weekly and monthly invoicing reports for leadership

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Accounting, or Finance, or 3 years of experience in Logistics or Finance
• Analytics: Must have a strong quantitative background, an intuitive grasp of data, as well as robust Microsoft Excel (pivot table, vlookup), PowerPoint, and Power BI skills
• Collaboration: Should have good leadership and teamwork qualities. The position will be working with a varied group of stakeholders, each of whom brings a different perspective and skill set to any given problem.
• Must be well organized and detail-oriented to handle in-depth projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.04 - $28.85 per hour
