At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. Our Internal Audit team is seeking an Auditor to provide support in the following areas:
- Planning, scheduling, directing, and conducting audits and related tasks.
- Investigating, studying, surveying, reviewing and completing other evaluations/assessments of financial and/or operational activities in order to identify risks and controls, conclude on the effectiveness of controls, and determine how the effectiveness of the internal controls affects achievement of corporate objectives and compliance with corporate policies and procedures, DOE Orders and Directives, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Government Cost Accounting Standards, as applicable.
- Supporting the overall audit organization internal metrics, project management, etc.
- Working well in a teaming environment with a Positive attitude.
- Communicating effectively to a broad audience using many of the current tools available such as MS Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Email.
Basic Qualifications
* US Citizen
- Intermediate Grade 14: BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Career Level Grade 16: BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience in Accounting, Finance, or another related field is desired.
- Has knowledge of the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), professional Auditing Standards and Techniques or CPA license or Internal audit certification.
- Experience understanding legal requirements and perspective of Department of Justice (DOJ) as applied to False Claims Act and auditing.
- Awareness of the application of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards to effectively interface with the US Government customer.
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Related experience includes but is not limited to: knowledge years in an area of accounting or performing control evaluations, incurred cost, rates and supporting audits of Government related prime or subcontracts.
- Understanding of the operation of a structured control environment and assessments of control designs and testing.
- Demonstrates desired leadership attributes and behaviors through working relationships and delivery of quality audit products.
- Goal orientated, self critical and accountable
- High level of integrity and adherence to confidentiality expectation
- Investigation or compliance assessment experience.
- Experience with data analytics and use of relational data base applications/tools.
- Meet education requirements to qualify to sit for the Certified Public Accountant exams or other related certification
- Certified Public Accoutant (CPA), Certified Internal Audit (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
Intermediate Grade 14: $69,413 - $87,538
Career Level Grade 16: $83,950 - $105,570
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
