Overview:
Paige Electric, a Genuine Cable Group (GCG) company, is currently hiring an
Accounts Payable Assistant to join their tight knit team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors accurately and efficiently.
This is a
Hybrid position and will require going into office at least 2 days a week and working remotely the rest of the time.
What You’ll Do
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
- Process employee expense reports
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years experience in Accounts Payable preferred
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Understanding of expense accounts, cost centers, basic bookkeeping and account payable principles
- Understanding compliance issues around processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
- Data entry skills & proficiency in MS Office
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
