SmithFoods was established in 1909 and has become the largest independent dairy manufacturer in Ohio. We are continuing to grow and are looking for Skilled Production Associates to join our team. We are passionate about what we do and work hard at it. We are looking for a team player who will contribute not only to our team’s production, but to our culture as a whole.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Will perform all duties related to making cottage cheese.
• Will perform cleanup, sanitation, and CIP duties as needed.
• Will set up culture fillers for morning startup on daily basis.
• Will be required to perform duties of filler operator and helper as required.
• Will perform all necessary quality checks and fill out all required cheese cooking records completely and properly.
• Will be responsible for maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Must be willing to continue education and training to stay current on issues related to cottage cheese making.
• Must be willing to attend and participate in meetings related to cottage cheese making.
• Will work in other departments as needed, including ice cream, when cheese making is not needed.
• Must be willing to cross train and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be willing and able to perform described duties and assignments.
• Must be able to operate and perform all duties related to setting, cooking and dressing cottage cheese.
• Must operate CIP systems and perform manually cleaning as needed.
• Must maintain excellent working relationships with other associates.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Must have good training abilities, communication skills, and be responsible for quality work.
• Must be willing to accept new assignments and run changes on short notice.
• Aptitude to learn and the willingness to perform minor preventative maintenance,
• adjustments, and trouble shooting of related equipment.
• Must be able to lift 61 pounds on a regular basis.

• Monday - Friday 12am - 8:30am (Weekends as needed)
• Overtime Required

Pay: $20.69 - $22.99 per hour
