About us
The appliedAI Initiative is Europe’s largest initiative for fostering the application of AI technology in the German industrial landscape. We shape Europe’s innovative power in AI together with leading companies and tech players. We do this through close sparring and interaction with our partners on neutral ground based on delivering a unique set of assets and individual services. We build on deep technical expertise while focusing on applicability of the solutions. We create visions in the age of AI for Germany as a society, for us in a world of climate change as well as in our economy. We guide our partners to achieve their ambition in a world we want to live in.

One aspect of this is to collaborate with our international partners from France, Norway, the Netherlands and Sweden to shine a light on the top AI startups in Europe and to drive AI adoption and create more partnership opportunities between startups and corporations.
Your mission
We are looking for a working student to coordinate the collaboration with our international partners and expanding our landscape of AI startups to cover even more of Europe. As a working student within the appliedAI Ecosystem Team you will also be helping the appliedAI team with other partner relationship activities, such as events and communication. Your responsibilities will include:

• Interact with internal experts (technical and business) and external partners including startups, businesses, and international organizations to ensure oversight of partner requirements
• Research and onboard new international partners for growing the landscape beyond existing countries
• Collaborate cross functionally with marketing, business development and other appliedAI teams to get the best out of the AI startup landscape
• Bringing in fresh ideas and initiatives to maximize our impact and tackle new challenges
• Manage and support the further development and strategic growth of our community platform
• Develop and implement ideas to promote networking within the ecosystem (in the form of events, conferences, workshops, etc.)

Your profile

• Outstanding academic record
• A strong interest in the field of AI and startups
• Basic understanding of AI technology and its impact on the industry and workforce is preferred, but not required
• Fluent English and German in word and writing
• We are looking for someone skillful at engaging people to get the job done, creative at solving problems, data driven, analytical
• Open and proactive communication

What we offer
A highly qualified and motivated team of ~70 people is on a journey to change the rapidly evolving European AI Landscape. ~25 of us have a strong scientific, engineering or CS background.
