Job description

The Workforce Development Coordinator position provides support for a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor. The Job Corps program is a federally-funded residential training program. The mission of Job Corps is to provide career-ready technical and academic training and job placement assistance to program eligible youth ages 16-24.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

Develops partnerships with private and public local and national employers, community leaders, WIBS, Youth Councils, and One-Stops to secure work-based learning opportunities and employment.

Develops written WBL agreements as prescribed by the PRH.

Assist in the formation and functioning Workforce Council.

Develops and implements Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Maintain Center’s biography by documenting milestones, center events/functions, as well as other important Center history using photographs and written articles.

Serves as a liaison between the Center and the surrounding communities: Coordinates Center’s Community Relations Council and Workforce Council in accordance with DOL, Corporate and Center requirements.

Credentials:

Bachelors Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Social Science, Criminal Justice, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in a similar setting. High computer proficiency, excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as marketing skills are preferred.

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
