Title: Workers' Comp Claims Adjuster-Long Term Contract-Remote (38619)

Term: Long Term Contract

Salary: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour

Location: Remote (This position is fully remote, but candidates should be able to be on-site for team meetings if needed -- so candidate needs to live within driving distance of Basking Ridge, NJ).

*Must have NJ Workers' Comp Claims experience.

*Must live in NJ area.

Long term temporary Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster Candidates should have NJ experience. This position is fully remote, but candidates should be able to be on-site for team meetings if needed (so candidate needs to live within driving distance of Basking Ridge, NJ).

Responsible position providing effective management of New Jersey State and Federal Longshore and Harbor workers’ compensation claims ranging from routine to complex.

• Provide a high level of quality customer service
• Effective administration of all aspects of workers’ compensation claims, including:
• Statutory and policy covered claim analysis, as applicable
• Coverage analysis of primary and excess coverage, as applicable
• Investigation
• Litigation and budget management through trial and appeal, as applicable
• Medical management
• Medical, vendor and settlement payments
• Reserving
• Reporting
• Evaluation
• Negotiation/settlement
• Vendor management
• Other tasks as requested or required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in work experience
• Three to five years of progressively responsible claims positions or related job responsibilities
• It is the employee’s responsibility to maintain this equipment to ensure compatibility with the Association's computer systems and remote access technologies. Must have a mobile phone for two-factor authentication while telecommuting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with staff and constituents
• Demonstrated high degree of judgment within delegated authority
• Knowledge of applicable claim procedures, statutes, compliance, insurance laws and insurance coverage
• Ability to work independently
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Word and Excel

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour

• NJ Workers' compensation claims: 1 year (Required)
