Pinto Products is a small machine/fab shop manufacturer located in Kalamazoo, MI and is on the path of growth under new management. Due to the new opportunities, we've decided a welder/shop helper position is needed to help with the overflow of welding and non-welding projects. This would be ideal from the right individual starting off their career and wanting to gain experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities would include but not limited to the following:

Welding area: Perform tasks by assisting with any overflow of welding projects ranging from Mig to Tig, assist with monthly dunnage repairs, grinding services, etc.

Shop area: Perform tasks such as assembling various parts, running CNC and manual machinery, sanding, etc.

Requirements:

1) MIG welding knowledge

2) Ability to weld mild-steel and aluminum in various positions

3) Able to work unsupervised

4) Able to collaborate in a team environment

5) Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities

Optional requirements

1) Ability to read welding prints

2) TIG welding

3) Able to use measuring tools (caliper, dial indicators, etc.)

Experience:

1 year Work and/or education

Compensation:

Pay is based on level of experience of the successful candidate. We offer competitive pay for the lack of health benefits offerings.
