Pay Rate will be based on applicant's experience level.

Full time welder/ fabricator needed for busy miscellaneous metals & structural steel fabricator located in Lawrence, MA. The position requires 3+ years’ experience welding of structural steel, fabricating stairs, rails, & ornamental metal works from ferrous/ non-ferrous materials.

Required to:

• Read/ Interpret sketches and shop drawings.
• Read & understand weld symbols
• Utilize tape measure
• Layout/ tack weld assemblies
• Pass welding test for mig welding mild steel wide flange beams, tube, pipe, channels, angles, & plate; certified horizontal and vertical
• Operate press brake, shear, iron worker/ punch, & drill press
• Operate overhead crane & forklift
• Torch & saw cut materials
• Grind & clean materials/ assemblies
• Polish ornamental materials as required
• Properly label materials
• Preparation of materials for painting
• Load, band, and stack materials in an orderly manner to prepare for delivery
• Assist in loading and unloading deliveries
• Maintain safe operating procedures

Requested to:

• Pass welding test for tig welding various shapes of mild steel, stainless steel, brass, bronze, & aluminum.
