Position DescriptionThe purpose of this position is to provide customer service and technical support to the City"s internal and external utility services customers. This is accomplished by completing installations and disconnections of utility services as requested, inspecting and replacing water meters, investigating customer complaints of readings or service, completing accurate reading and recording of customer water consumption, performing maintenance procedures to meter equipment, reprogramming and testing meter equipment as necessary and providing meter reading data to departments for billing purposes. Other duties include delivering notices to customers when necessary, completing work orders, providing information to customers while completing field activities, completing daily activity reports and other projects as assigned and interacting with other employees and citizens. The city offers vacation and sick leave, as well as ten paid holidays. Full time employees earn two weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month. What We're Looking For
Water Service Worker - High School diploma or GED required. No experience required, we will train. Valid Texas Class C Drivers License with safe driving record. Additional Information
