Job description

Spa Hearth & Home is seeking warehouse workers to receive and load patio furniture, spas, swim spas, pools, fireplaces, etc. Our warehouse team works a full-time schedule. Some Saturdays are required, and overtime in our busy season may also be required. This job is well-suited to highly organized people who have a positive attitude and can lift heavy items in and out of delivery trucks.

Responsibilities:

• Load and Unload Cargo: Our warehouse workers load and unload any cargo and ensure that the warehouse and associated equipment remain clean, tidy, and in good working order. They follow safe lifting practices and help colleagues lift bulky items to avoid injuries. You will also perform deliveries at customer homes.
• Report Incidents: If there are issues with a delivery or problems with equipment, warehouse workers relay this information to management.
• Manage Paperwork: Warehouse workers handle the paperwork associated with receiving shipments, from receipts to confirmation notices. They also keep a daily log of all deliveries.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Attention to detail – this job involves working with several valuable goods. Workers must verify that items are going to the right place and promptly complete paperwork.
• Adherence to safety – warehouse workers must maintain safe working habits when lifting heavy items or equipment.
• Communication skills – warehouse workers work as part of a wider team, so they must have good communication skills.
• Forklift Experience – this is a plus but not necessary.
