Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented team player who is interested in the pharmacy aspect of Veterinary Medicine to join our team. As a Pharmacy Assistant you would be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Processing medication refill requests
• Filling medications as prescribed
• Utilizing our clinic software to complete the requests of doctors and clients
• Including but not limited to making surgical estimates
• Reporting and handling of controlled substances
• Maintaining the pharmacy area
• Keeping area clean and restocked
• Keeping track of expiration dates of medications
• Maintaining a professional relationship with pharmacies when calling in prescription refills and requests

Skill Requirement:

• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical setting
• Computer savvy
• Excellent communication skills (both verbally and in writing)
• Detail Oriented
• Veterinary experience encouraged, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
