The Valet/Bellman serves hotel guests by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
- Assists guests to enter and leave car, and loads and unloads baggage and luggage.
- Parks guest vehicle in designated parking area.
- Escorts incoming hotel guests to rooms, assists with hand luggage, and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
- Picks up articles for laundry and valet service.
- Delivers packages, suitcases, and trunks.
- Tidies lobby.
- Assists with internal guest phone calls, answering basic questions about the resort.
- Supports valet coordination, periodically working valet/bellman service station shifts to assist with administrative functionality
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor, which could be directly related, or un-related to original position.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 21 years of age and hold a valid State of Vermont Driver's License and be eligible for enrollment as a driver on Jay Peak Resort's Commercial Automobile policy.
