We are looking for a Utility Operator to operate and monitor all production and packaging equipment.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Production and working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will be:
- Operating production equipment and ensuring equipment is operating correctly
- Operating the railcar moving and unloading equipment ensuring equipment is operating correctly
- Accurately completing packing slips
- Operating the ship loading equipment ensuring equipment is operating correctly also, installs and removes the ship loading tent
- Collecting samples as required; submits samples to the lab as required and initiates corrective actions as indicated also, Collects and records process data in appropriate forms
- Conducting minor maintenance on equipment as needed also, Washes and cleans process equipment according to prescribed standards
- Preventing the release of process material to the environment (air, water or soil) by monitoring the processes and taking corrective action as necessary
What you'll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid and current state Driver License.
- Must be able to read, write and basic math
- Familiar with hand tools
- Proficient in the use of all tools and equipment required to perform job
- Ability to obtain TWIC access from TSA (Transportation Security Administration)
- Previous experience operating process/production equipment, forklift, and bobcat

Where you’ll be working
This role is based in the Port of Los Angeles in the city of Wilmington, California. This historical site is one of the oldest operations in the Port of LA, some employees are third generation workers at this operation.
