Overview

Position: Ultrasound Technologist - FT Days
Schedule: Monday - Friday - Flexible Hours - Limited call and Weekend rotations
Location: University Kansas Health System – St. Francis (Main Campus)

The Ultrasound Technologist supports patient care by performing quality ultrasound procedures and consistently maintains focus on customer service and safety. Enhances quality by participating in performance improvement. Supports the Radiology department and reports to the Radiology Diagnostic Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic imaging to support quality patient care.
Demonstrates proper communication skills to ensure positive outcomes.
Supports organization priorities to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Provide quality customer service to patients, families, coworkers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment.


Qualifications

2 year degree may substitute degree for graduation from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology.
Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology education program.
Must be registered in either ARDMS or RVT and complete the other registry within 1 year of hire date.
Must have current BLS
Interpersonal and communication skills, ability to learn to perform direct patient care, basic nursing procedures.
Ability to interpret and communicate data relevant to patients' needs and responses to care.
Ability to learn general, OB-GYN, small parts, and vascular ultrasound required.
