Position Summary:
The Web Coordinator position is within the Creative Agency, part of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs. The position is responsible for the main UAS website and associated subsites, ensuring their compatibility with UAS website standards, accessibility compliance, overall site design quality and visual appeal, adherence to branding guidelines, site useability, organization, and architecture. The position coordinates, directs, and consults with UAS campuses, schools, and departments to enhance the web presence and ensure quality control. This recruitment is open internally to current UA employees or those otherwise eligible to apply to internal postings.Duties:
The Web Coordinator is responsible for the main UAS website and associated subsites, ensuring their compatibility with UAS website standards, accessibility compliance, overall site design quality and visual appeal, adherence to branding guidelines, site useability, organization, and architecture. The Web Coordinator manages the CMS and coordinates the CMS contributors throughout the university. The position communicates directly with UAS staff and faculty and leads several groups and committees. This position represents web interests in strategy development, assisting the Social Media and Marketing Strategy Coordinator to implement campaigns with tracking features to gather data for strategic analysis for marketing. Of the three categories of Operations, Maintenance, and Development, the Website Coordinator is primarily responsible for Operations and Maintenance. Operations consist of regular updating of university web pages, sites, and subsites. Maintenance is responding to daily requests for website work from the university community.
This position works closely with the Website Developer, who is primarily responsible for programming within the site, developing new templates, and Banner integration.
The Web Coordinator position is within the Creative Agency, Enrollment Management, and Student Affairs. The Creative Manager is the position supervisor and the final approver of major web content.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Communications, or related field and three years of progressively responsible experience relevant to the position, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and a full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
